In this section we offer an innovative approach to the works of Marconi. The methodology behind the organization of the exhibits targets various sections of society. In its entirety it presents numerous instruments which enable visitors to analyse one of the most extraordinary changes lying at the origins of the modern world: the peaceful revolution of radio communications, or “wireless” as it was once called, of which Guglielmo Marconi was the brilliant initiator and pioneer.
You can repeat some of the young inventor’s experiments, run through highlights of his career, absorb yourself in the fascinating documents of the period, increase technical and historical knowledge of this extraordinary revolution, the development of which continued through the twentieth century and continues today at the beginning of the XXI century.

“ The most inspiring aspect of science is that it encourages man to persist in the realisation of his dreams. Science requires a flexible mind. You cannot interrogate the universe with a formula. You have to observe it, take what it gives up you and reflect with the help of science and reason.
Science keeps you young. I don’t understand the learned man who grows old and hunched up in his laboratory. I like to stay outside and look at the universe, ask it questions, and let its mystery penetrate my mind, admiring its beauty, and then search for my path towards the truth of things.”
[Guglielmo Marconi]

“I doubt that there has ever been a useful invention for which all theory, all practical applications and all instruments were the results of the work of a single man. Progress is only made by building on foundations placed by others and this is valid for both pure and applied science.”
[Guglielmo Marconi]
