The Guglielmo Marconi Foundation has started a project with  the Poligrafici Editoriale Spa so as to include copies of the articles dedicated to Marconi and published by the newspaper “Il Resto del Carlino” when the scientist was alive in the Foundation’s website.

Today it is possible to consult on our website all the articles (more than 500) published between 1896 and 1905 and the most interesting articles published between 1906 and 1937 (total more than 700).

There are various stages to the project.  First the original copies of  “Il Resto del Carlino”, which are stored in the historical archives of the weekly journal, are consulted. Then the selection process takes place and the published documents are then photographed digitally, the texts and images are retouched, they are categorized and finally loaded on the Foundation’s site. Here they are put in chronological order along with short descriptions.

The Guglielmo Marconi Foundation warmly thanks Poligrafici Editoriale Spa and the staff at their Archives for their assistance in the research, which allows us to bring to light a broad spectrum of news concerning the life and work of the great scientist, news published when the events were taking place
