OPEN FLY - "UNDER THE WINGS OF SOLIDARITY" MEETING

organised by the Air Club Francesco Baracca – National Helicopter School Guido Baracca, Lugo di Romagna

The event was joined by the Army with its Brigata Aeromobile Friuli, the helicopters of the Carabinieri militia of Forlì and of the 118 service as well as representatives from the National Armed Forces, the Civil Defence and other civil bodies, together with various associations of the Arma (National Carabinieri militia) and the “Cavallino”(Lugo local association), volunteers and many other groups.

It was also a fitting occasion to celebrate the centenary of the Nobel Prize to the Bolognese scientist Marconi and the International Year of Astronomy.
The Guglielmo Marconi Foundation organised a stand exhibiting antique radio equipments and other documents of Marconi’s time.

Barbara Valotti, who coordinates the activities of the Foundation, and Nerio Neri, A.I.R.E. president (Italian Association of Antique Radios) gave two conferences on Marconi and his discoveries.
