Planning

The main activities carried out in this area of research regard:

evaluation of the served areas and planning of the use of spectral resources starting with the results of the prediction software
application of automatic optimisation techniques to the positioning of radio-base stations and to the channel assignment;
evaluation of interference reduction techniques, including implementation of Frequency Hopping, use of directive antennas, and use of adaptive or ‘smart’ antennas.
