A week celebration to commemorate the ingenious intuitions of Guglielmo Marconi and the places where he made his first discoveries – 7th edition


SATURDAY MAY 15th

OPENING CERIMONY
“Radio Days” Presentation, scholarships awarded for research in telecommunications (organized by the Lions Club “Bologna Casalecchio-Guglielmo Marconi” “Castiglione dei Pepoli Valle del Setta” and “Minerva-Minerbio”) and conferral of the Prize Business Performance for Sasso Marconi – 3rdedition.
Marconi vs. Tesla, live Marconian performance, inspired by the paternity of the discoveries that led to the invention of the radio (by Mario Giorgi and Angela Malfitano).
A toast of good wishes for all participants. Free admission.

Stalls featuring a taste of local products

MARCONI: HIS DISCOVERIES AND HIS HOMELAND
Art in the Piazza exhibition and sale of art works and handicrafts and Extemporary of theme painting “the radio and communications” (prizegiving at 4:00 pm). Organized by the Consorzio Versilia e Forte dei Marmi – Piazza dei Martiri and streets in the city center – From 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. 
Furthermore preparation of shop windows on radiophonic themes for the contest “Marconi Sottovetro”.

San Gherardo Naturalist Oasis and Amphibian Center

Borgo di Colle Ameno, Pontecchio di Sasso Marconi, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm – Free admission
Celebration at the Borgo di Colle Ameno. Stalls with handicrafts, wine and gastronomic specialties, association booths, guided tours of the Borgo, music. Radiomerenda with the radioamatori and many surprises. Organized by the Associazione per il Gemellaggio “G. Marconi”.

AWARD CEREMONY FOR THE CONTEST “MARCONI SOTTOVETRO – MARCONIAN WINDOW SHOPS”
The best designs with a radiophonic theme in the store windows of the shops of Sasso Marconi during “Radio Days” - an initiative organized by Resto di Sasso and infoSasso
